Communications lifecycle management solution provider Calero Software has acquired telecom expense management company Comview Corporation.

Calero is a communications management platform that enables clients with keeping track of cloud and communications services, devices, contracts, invoices, and spending across operations. The company’s services include telecom expenses management, managed mobility services, and usage management.

Comview provides companies with telecom expense management, mobility management, and call accounting solutions. The solution can be used to help finance teams with invoice management, wireless management, audit and optimisation, call accounting, asset management, and procurement, among others.

Riverside Partners general partner Steven Kaplan said, “We invested in Calero, alongside the management team, less than four months ago to support the Company’s continued growth as the leading provider in the market.

“In addition to supporting Calero’s tremendous organic growth potential we are committed to making smart, strategic acquisitions to help accelerate Calero’s growth and to greatly enhance the breadth and depth of services Calero offers its customers around the world. Comview is a very complementary business with a tremendous alignment of values, particularly as it relates to providing the highest quality customer service in the market.”

Earlier this week, accounting solution Trintech was recapitalised by Summit Partners, which now hold a majority stake in the company. Late last year, audit management solution ACL closed a $50m strategic investment from Norwest, which marked the company’s first external investor.
