Conversica acquires Chile-based Intelligens.ai

AI technology developer Conversica has acquired sales and marketing AI platform Intelligens.ai.

Founded in 2016, Intelligens is an AI-powered virtual assistant that is focused on the Latin American market. The Chile-based company is implemented by sales teams to help find and identify leads, to help teams maximise their time.

Conversica automates and improves business conversations through AIpowered virtual assistants. The technology is used by sales teams to help follow leads, with it used in a range of industries including, insurance, real estate, finance and mortgage, and education.

This acquisition will add new Facebook Messenger, Slack and Skype integrations to Conversica’s machine learning capabilities. The company will implement the Intelligens conversational AI platform in coming months, giving users more services.

Conversica CEO Alex Terry said. “The conversational AI space is exploding, with more and more organizations recognizing the value of automating routine conversations to grow revenue, manage costs and free up their human workforce for more productive activities.

“We recognized an opportunity with Intelligens to accelerate our product roadmap and add exceptional talent to our team. We are thrilled to bring aboard new customers and partners in Latin America and extend our reach into this fast-growing market of over 400 million native Spanish speakers.”

Last year, The Latin America FinTech sector was dominated by Brazil, with it accounting for around 89 per cent of the capital invested. Chile was the third biggest area in the region to receive funding, picking up just under 5 per cent of the equity deployed.
