Tech Ventures acquires payment platform MyCheck

Global payment platform for restaurants and hotels MyCheck has been acquired by Tech Ventures, for an undisclosed amount.

MyCheck is a mobile payments platform that provides hotels and restaurants with the ability to process transactions, but also manage customer engagement. The platform offers a compliant system to take payments and track consumer trends.

Restaurants can implement a host of services through the technology including, pay at table or counter, check splitting, order ahead, delivery, loyalty and rewards, CRM tools, gift cards and mobile wallet integrations. MyCheck’s hotel solution, allows customers to check in and out of hotels through a mobile app, as well as booking and ordering various services during their stay.

A digital wallet is also available for clients, meeting security compliance levels, and enabling customers to connect a selection of payment cards.

The company hopes this transaction will help support its expansion through new opportunities around the world.

Tech Ventures launched last year and is the venture capital arm of Ofer Global group.

Ofer Global chairman Eyal Ofer said, “This acquisition will support the tremendous contribution MyCheck is making to the global hospitality industry, primarily in mobile payment engagement. MyCheck is fast becoming a disruptor in hospitality through its mobile payment technology and the seamless guest experiences that it creates.”

Tech Ventures looks to invest in companies developing solutions for the shipping, real estate, banking and investment industries, across Europe, North America, the Near East and Asia.

Other companies in the firm’s portfolio include automation, endpoint security platform Secdo, delivery logistics management platform ClipCall, and automated car solution developer Arbe Robotics.
