Symphony Technology acquires RPA business Winshuttle

Winshuttle, a robotic process automation (RPA) and data management company, has been acquired by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group.

Winshuttle is a data automation and process management solution developer that aims to improve accuracy and productivity. Its technology helps businesses with tasks such as speeding product launches and financial accounting processes, streamlining customer and vendor onboarding, improving plant maintenance efficiency, and tackling data migration projects.

The Washington-based company operates globally and has offices across North America, the UK, France, Germany, and India. Its solutions are predominantly implemented by companies in SAP environments, such as finance, supply chain, and HR.

Finance and accounting teams can use Winshuttle’s services to automate a host of accounting tasks including accounts payable, expenses, reporting, general ledger and inventory, among others. With a bigger access to data, clients can also improve their budgeting and planning efforts.

Winshuttle CEO John Pierson said, “This is an exciting step for Winshuttle that will allow us to leverage the tremendous expertise of STG to accelerate and scale our offering in the application data management space. This partnership will allow us to deepen and broaden the value we deliver to our very satisfied customer base comprised of many of the world’s largest brands.”

Last month, robotic process automation software company Workfusion closed its Series E funding round on $50m. The round was led by Hawk Equity and Declaration Partners, and was raised to support the growth of its global operations. The company helps banks and financial services to streamline the account opening process, identify money laundering and complete KYC checks.
