Invoice processor POM raises €830k in funding from group of angels

Belgium-based online invoicing processing solution POM has raised €830,000 in a new round of funding.

The capital injection was led by a selection of angels from Be Angels and BAN Vlaanderen networks. POM’s management team and existing backer B2BOOST also took part in the company’s round of funding.

POM is an invoice solution which helps businesses pay and get paid on their invoices. The platform enables the automatic payment of invoices, alerts users of new bills, and offers a single dashboard for the overview of all invoices.

To enable a more accessible manner of paying invoices, POM enables companies to integrate invoices with QR code payments, paying through an email, messaging with a link to pay or a direct payment through the POM app.

This capital injection will be used to accelerate growth in Belgium, and into other international markets. Proceeds will also be used to launch new services which will keep up with the changing market conditions such as those made by PSD2 and instant payments.

Over the coming month, POM will look to strengthen its core commercial and technology teams.

POM co-founder and CEO Johannes Vermeir, said, “This additional investment from Be Angels and BAN Flanders gives us more strength in the market and allows us to further refine our payment solutions.

“In this way we can let more and more people enjoy the simplicity of payment and redeem them from time-consuming paperwork. The invoice administration of companies and organizations will also benefit from this. ”

As part of the transaction, business angels Jean-Marc Toussaint and Steve Vantorre, who took part in the funding, have joined the company’s board of directors.

This round brings the company’s total funding efforts to €1.9m.

POM recently signed a strategic cooperation with a ‘large sector-based company’ to bolster its growth – more details on the deal will be release in coming months.
