Host Analytics has been acquired by private equity firm Vector Capital, for an undisclosed amount.
As part of the deal, Host Analytics chief revenue officer Ron Baden has been made an interim CEO, while Vector Capital vice president Dan Fletcher has been named interim chief financial officer.
The close of the deal has seen Host Analytics CEO Dave Kellogg and CFO Ian Charles stand down from their positions, however, they will assist the company during this transition period.
California-headquartered Host Analytics develops cloud-based enterprise performance management solutions for finance, sales, human resources and marketing teams. The company can help businesses to automate and accelerate the planning, reporting and consolidation processes.
For finance teams, Host Analytics offers planning, budgeting and forecasting tools, and driver-based modelling to support scenario analysis. Users can also complete financial consolidation, which includes inter-company eliminations, partial ownership rules and statutory reporting. The company’s reporting tools help to ensure businesses maintain compliance.
Host Analytics CEO Ron Baden said, “I am excited about the future of Host Analytics under Vector Capital. We are in a great position in an attractive market and have the capital and support we need to accelerate growth both organically and through acquisitions.”
This is already the second acquisition of Vector Capital to close this year. The firm recently completed the deal for customer engagement platform Aspect Software, a provider of interaction management, workforce optimisation and self-service customer engagement services.
Following the close of the deal, the private equity firm is injecting $100m to support its growth.
