India’s YES Bank will leverage Microsoft’s cognitive services to power its AI-enabled chatbot YES ROBOT, in new partnership.
The new YES ROBOT solution enables users to perform financial and non-financial banking transactions through conversational AI which has extensive financial knowledge.
A consumer can use the chatbot to manage their credit card, view summaries, bill payments, reward points, and for international card usage, access loan eligibility calculators and get local deals on services like hotels.
YES BANK chief information officer Anup Purohit said, “We focused on building a holistic AI ecosystem equipped with NLP components, Machine Learning models and other AI services.
“YES ROBOT is a round-the-clock banking assistant developed by our in-house technology team using Microsoft Azure cognitive services. While customers can launch the chatbot on social media platforms such as Facebook, in future, we plan to integrate the bot and provide access through other channels.”
Moving forward, the bank will integrate the bot with services including contextual and real-time transfer of chat from bot to the live agent of the bank, as well as deploying it with other platforms such as Whatsapp, Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri.
