Circonus closes $6.8m Series A1 round

Circonus, a machine data intelligence platform, has closed its Series A1 investment on $6.8m to enhance its capabilities and meet rising demands.

Osage Venture Partners led the investment, with contributions also coming from Bull City Venture Partners and Ben Franklin Technology Partners. Previous Circonus backer NewSpring also contributed to the round.

The machine data intelligence platform leverages billions of metric streams in real-time so it can generate business insight and value. Its platform helps companies to collect, store, manage and analyse IoT and IT infrastructure data.

FinTechs leverage the solution to handle fault detection, anomaly detection and predictive analytics to boost operations.

NewSpring partner Brian Kim said, “We’re proud to continue our support of Circonus and are excited about its future growth with Bob at the helm.

“The need for machine data intelligence is only going to grow as enterprises seek out the competitive advantages that data at scale can provide.”

Osage Venture Partners recently led the $5m Series A round of MarginEdge, a developer of restaurant software.
