UK-based FinTech Curve has unveiled a new premium Curve Metal card and a range of benefits available to its customers in the European Economic Area.
The new offering builds on Curve’s banking platform that consolidates multiple cards and accounts into one smart card and an app.
The company said that Curve Metal has been one of the most requested features by the startup’s European customers since the business first released its offerings to British customers in January 2019.
In addition to a premium 18g metal contactless card, available in three beautiful colours, Curve offers customers unlimited cashback with double the retailers of its other tiers, increased spend limits, as well as free debit fronted credit transactions. Other benefits that accompany Curve’s luxury tier include worldwide travel insurance, discounted lounge access with LoungeKey, better foreign exchange rates, phone insurance and much more all for the price of €14.99 a month or €150 a year.
“Curve Metal is the only card of its kind on the market and Curve’s customers have been desperate to get their hands on one of our beautifully crafted cards and benefit from its premium features for quite some time now,” said Nathalie Oestmann, COO at Curve. “The immediate availability of our premium tier in the EEA is a clear commitment to our growth throughout Europe and is yet another important step to realise our vision of a connected, simplified and unified financial world.”
The new card builds on the smattering of new features Curve has launched recently. In April it launched numberless cards that did not have PAN numbers, the numbers written on the front of most credit cards, written on them. In December 2019, the startup launched a free money-transfer service.
