Digital banking and financial software company Sopra Banking Software has joined forces with Tink as a strategic channel partner.
The deal will enable Sopra Banking Software to tap into Tink’s data aggregation, enrichment, payment initiation, and personal finance management technology – bringing Tink’s open banking solutions to a platform that serves 1,500 banks and financial institutions across the world.
Tink hailed the partnership as giving Sopra Banking Software’s customers the power to access “the full value of open banking, well beyond PSD2 compliance.”
“By integrating with Tink’s technology, Sopra Banking Software will get access to a broad range of quality, real-time account data to power their off-the-shelf digital banking solutions – Tink connects to more than 2,500 banks, reaching over 250 million bank customers across Europe,” Tink said in a statement.
Sopra Banking Software’s leadership seemed equally excited about the deal. “Tomorrow’s financial services will be inter-connected, embedded, and often invisible,” said Eric Pasquier, CEO at Sopra Banking Software. “To differentiate, banks will increasingly need to actively connect with external third parties. Thus, combining Sopra Banking’s unique sets of retail banking solutions with Tink’s open banking technology will allow our clients to develop unique data-enabled customer experiences.”
Sopra Banking Software has previously joined forces with personal data security platform digi.me to improve secure personal data exchange.
