Mobilexpress said to raise $2m for its Series A

Turkey-based online payments platform Mobilexpress has reportedly netted $2m in its Series A round.

The investment was led by Collective Spark, an early-stage venture capital fund that targets technology startups, according to a report from The Paypers.

Mobilexpress is an online payments platform that offers a variety of transaction methods and supporting software. Its product suite includes one-click payments, payment gateways, e-commerce and mobile payment processing, insurance payments, bill payments, point-of-sale terminals, subscription and rental payments, and more.

Its technology helps to process nearly ten million transactions per month, the article said.

Fellow Turkish FinTech platform Figopara closed its own funding round earlier this year, nabbing $1m for its second external investment. The capital was supplied by World Bank International Finance Corporation, Revo Capital and a number of angel investors.

The FinTech helps businesses get access to working capital by taking out loans for their invoices.
