Digital insurance agency Simply Business has formed a partnership with AXIS Insurance to launch a new product aimed at US small businesses that work from home.
The AXIS Home Based Business insurance policy will offer customised coverage that meets the needs of a home business.
Homeowners’ insurance policies typically do not cover commercial losses, leaving entrepreneurs that work from their home at risk if an unexpected event jeopardises their business, it claims.
Simply Business CEO David Summers said, “Being able to offer this product reflects our continuing mission to serve the unique needs of small business owners, and it comes at a critical moment, as many entrepreneurs have been forced to work from their homes due to the pandemic.
