Assurely, an insurance firm for innovators, has reportedly closed its seed round, which was led by ATX Ventures.
The value of the investment was not disclosed; however, the funds bring the company’s total equity raised to $3.7m, according to a report from Hedge Think.
Contributions to the investment also came from unnamed strategic investors with deep insurance and technology expertise.
Funds from the round will enable the InsurTech to expand its technology infrastructure and release additional products, it said.
The InsurTech offers insurance to innovators, with its flagship product TigerMark providing protections whilst raising capital through crowdfunding or token offerings. The policy enables them to raise money in a safe and secure environment. Investors also get the benefit of requesting their principal investment returned subject to qualifying circumstances.
Assurely is among a number of InsurTech companies to have raised capital this week. Human API, which empowers consumers to share health data with companies they trust, recently secured $20m in its Series C.
Kover also netted funding this week, reportedly securing a $5m investment to support the growth of its insurance platform for gig workers.
