Mobile-based crypto lending app Vauld said to close $2m in funding round

Cryptocurrency management platform Vauld has reportedly scored $2m in a funding round led by Pantera Capital.

Other contributors to the round include Coinbase Ventures, LuneX Ventures and Compound Finance founder Robert Leshner, according to an article from Coindesk.

Singapore-based Vauld is currently available in India and will use the funds to increase its hiring efforts to support growth in the country. Funds will also be used to launch payments and trading services.

Further expansion plans include achieve additional licensing in Singapore and the UK.

Vauld offers a mobile app to manage cryptocurrency, with tools for borrowing, trading, and lending. Users can take a low interest loan against existing crypto assets or choose to offer their assets to borrowers to earn returns.

Late last year, crypto asset software and data provider Lukka closed its Series C funding round. The capital, which was supplied by State Street Corporation, S&P Global and CPA.com, was raised to help it deepen its product suite.
