Investor app Quartr has secured $4.5m from a seed funding round that included a number of key names from the financing industry.
The round was led by The Ohman Group will investors included Ben Carlson, Michael Batnick, Josh Brown, Barry Ritholtz and former Spotify COO and CFO Peter Sterky.
Quartr claims it offering the first digital platform for investors that are looking to make better decisions, while serving companies the insights they need to bolster their communications.
Users of Quartr’s app can see the latest investor presentations that have taken place worldwide and listen in or read up whenever and wherever they choose.
To date, the firm has already over 250,000 played events from over 4,000 companies across 15 geographical markets. The company recently introduced a new feature that allows users to highlight and guide other investors to specific points of interest within its audio content.
According to Quartr, it will use the new funding to scale its platform and operations globally, bolstering its B2B division so that businesses can use the platform to connect and get feedback from investors located in over 150 global markets.
