Germany-based fintus receives investment from private equity firm

German FinTech company fintus, a low-code software designed to simplify lending processes, has secured an investment from mid-market private equity firm AnaCap Financial Partners.

AnaCap will deploy “significant” growth capital to fintus, as well as financial sector and technology expertise, and operational support to help the FinTech company grow in the DACH region and expand across Europe. fintus will also receive capital to hire more staff.

Founded in 2017, fintus is a software-as-a-service provider for automation and digitalisation of the financial services sector. Clients leverage the technology to automate and streamline lending processes, from initial contact through to credit decisions and portfolio management.

The low-code platform is designed to complement existing systems and can be flexible to meet the need of the customer.

Its clients include tier one, two and three banks, and other financial services companies. The company boasts a growth rate of over 150% year-over-year.

fintus CEO and founder Benjamin Hermanns said, “We have had multiple enquiries recently and have been delighted with the interest shown by prominent investment companies. It was very important for us to find a partner who has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and understands software, the financial services industry and FinTech alike.

“We have found in AnaCap an ideal partner to support the pan-European growth of fintus, leveraging our impressive track record in recent years which we attribute to the commitment of our employees and customers alike.”

AnaCap is no stranger to the FinTech world. It recently made a majority investment into WebID, a developer of digital identification technology.
