Global Insurer MetLife has partnered with Aura to be its exclusive distributor of Ausa’s digital security solutions in the employer channel.
Aura describes itself as a leader in intelligent safety solutions, providing all-in-one digital protection for consumers.
MetLife’s Us Group Benefits platform reaches more than 50,000 employers and approximately 55 million eligible employees and their families. The company said adding Aura’s intelligent safety solutions is in response to customer needs.
As cybersecurity risks continue to rise for individuals, MetLife said both companies have seen growing demand from employers looking to offer digital security benefits to their workforces. New data from the Identity Theft Resource Center shows the overall number of data compromises in 2021 was up more than 68% compared to 2020. This comes after a record year in 2020 for cyberattacks, with consumers losing more money to cybercrime than they did to home burglary.
Hari Ravichandran, founder and CEO of Aura, said “Over the last two years, we have seen surging demand for digital security solutions in response to a drastic increase in cybercrime. By working with MetLife, Aura will be able to rapidly scale our operations and keep millions of Americans safe.”
The insurance provider partnered with YuLife in December last year which saw MetLife become an underwriter for its life cover policies.
