Vulnerability management tech Nucleus Security scores Series B

Nucleus Security, a unified vulnerability management and process automation provider, has scored $20m in its Series B round.

The investment was led by Lead Edge Capital, a high-impact growth investor aimed at tech-enabled businesses. Arthur Ventures, which backed Nucleus Security Series A round, also joined the fresh investment.

With the capital, the company plans to accelerate its product development efforts, enhance customer experience, scale engineering and support services and boost its presence in the APAC region.

The company claims to have quadrupled its headcount in the past year and tripled its ARR.

Nucleus Security is a vulnerability management platform that claims to break down traditional silos of vulnerability information and enables large enterprises to implement a comprehensive intelligence-led vulnerability management program across the organisation.

Its technology claims to be at the nexus of vulnerability data, asset information and embedded threat intelligence, supporting automated response at scale.

Lead Edge Capital principal Avery Rosin said, ?Organizations are overloaded with alerts from vulnerability tools and are struggling to figure out which vulnerabilities to fix that are going to be the most impactful. Nucleus is redefining the vulnerability management software category as a single source of record for all assets, vulnerabilities, and associated data.p>

The company recently teamed up with Mandiant, an American cybersecurity company.

Nucleus said customers can expect more integrations, updates to the vulnerability workflow and automation engine, customisable views and dashboard.
