Denmark-headquartered Female Invest, a financial education and community platform, has launched an educational app on its mission to improve women’s financial literacy.
The Female Invest app offers an array of resources, including comprehensive courses on various facets of personal finance, such as budgeting, investing and retirement planning. The app has positioned itself as a one-stop solution for women wishing to expand their financial acumen with the help of daily news updates and weekly webinars led by financial experts.
With over 16,000 downloads prior to any public announcements, the demand for tailored financial education is strikingly clear.
Founded in 2017 by Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen, Camilla Falkenburg and Emma Blitz, the company started out as a book-club-style Facebook page. Today, the trailblazing platform boasts of 35,000 paying members across 95 countries. FinTech Global spoke to Female Invest earlier this year to discuss the financial gender gap.
The company’s primary objective is to provide women with the necessary knowledge and tools to gain financial independence, thereby empowering them to take informed decisions relating to their personal finances.
Among the notable attributes of the Female Invest app is its real-time news section. By delivering up-to-the-minute financial updates and insights, it enables its users to stay on top of market trends and investment opportunities. Additionally, the app’s interactive webinars offer a platform for users to engage directly with experts, raise queries, and receive personalised guidance.
In addition to the enthusiastic response to the app before its official launch, the overwhelmingly positive feedback from over 500 beta testers further attests to the app’s effectiveness in promoting financial literacy and empowerment.
Reflecting on the launch, Female Invest’s co-founder, Camilla Falkenberg said, “We are incredibly excited to launch the Female Invest app and continue our mission of empowering women through financial education.”
Her sentiments were echoed by Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen, fellow co-founder, who stated, “The overwhelming response and early adoption of the app showcase the need for accessible and tailored financial education for women. Our goal is to equip women with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial future, and we believe this app will be a game-changer in achieving that.”
The Female Invest app is now available for global download.
