Theta Lake unveils compliance support for Salesforce Chatter


Theta Lake recently revealed it was continuing its support for the Salesforce Chatter platform which aids with compliance support. 

The Salesforce ecosystem offers a comprehensive range of communication tools that span instant messaging, enterprise social, and email messages, all aimed at bolstering customer relationships globally.

These tools are utilised in various work settings, including centralised, hybrid, and remote environments. Companies leverage Salesforce technologies to cultivate communication, enhance customer engagement, and reinforce customer loyalty.

Theta Lake has long been an advocate for tightly integrated solutions tailored for Salesforce communications. This includes support for Slack and Salesforce email, particularly focusing on capturing BCC copies which, within regulated environments, may need additional oversight. Salesforce is not just an essential partner for Theta Lake but also a significant investor. Furthermore, the growing market demand for Salesforce Chatter has necessitated compliance support for this platform.

Salesforce Chatter is an enterprise social network designed to facilitate the sharing of expertise, files, and data across an organisation. This business-oriented social network enables employees, partners, and customers to collaborate in a secure environment. Like other enterprise social networks such as Microsoft Viva Engage, Chatter serves as a living platform where work is carried out. While it mimics social networks in its communication capabilities, it is also a massive data hub that houses crucial sets of intellectual property, requiring stringent risk and compliance controls.

In light of this, Theta Lake is thrilled to announce its support for Salesforce Chatter. Through native API integration, the new feature allows organisations to automatically capture communications from Salesforce Chatter. This complements Theta Lake’s existing Slack and Salesforce email integrations, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the Salesforce portfolio. Once connected, the Theta Lake Risk and Compliance Suite will capture a variety of communications including posts, announcements, questions, and polls, as well as comments, replies, answers, and private messages.

Theta Lake’s support for Salesforce Chatter extends to a plethora of use cases. These range from archiving records for compliance, to risk detection across more than 85 pre-configured classifications covering regulatory enforcement, behaviour conduct, and various other policies. The support also includes advanced features like search functionalities, legal hold, and case management for ediscovery within the Theta Lake Risk and Compliance Suite.

Unlike traditional methods that depend on screen scraping or crawlers, Theta Lake’s Smart Capture approach for Salesforce Chatter operates directly at the application level, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
