Seismic and Theta Lake target the AI execution gap

Seismic, a company focused on go-to-market performance, has broadened its offering for banks, wealth managers and insurers with a new compliance product, upgraded social media tools and a tie-up with Theta Lake, in a move aimed at proving that regulatory control need not slow revenue growth.

The announcements, made at the firm’s Seismic Shift 2026 event, centre on the launch of Seismic Compliance. The product places governance inside the workflows client-facing staff already use, so regulated firms can tailor and expand digital outreach without losing oversight.

It records and archives activity across Digital Sales Rooms, Bulk Email and Workspace, and adds access permissions and sign-off steps to Digital Sales Rooms. Firms can also require approval of customised material before it is sent to clients, and plug Seismic into the archiving and supervision systems they already run.

Theta Lake plays a central role in that last capability. Through the partnership, Theta Lake will supply post-send supervision, extended retention and data protection, letting institutions build on compliance tools they have already paid for while keeping a fuller history of their client interactions.

Theta Lake is named a leader by Gartner in Critical Capabilities for Digital Communications Governance, has repeatedly won awards for best UC compliance product, and appears on the Fortune Cyber 60 list.

The timing reflects a wider problem across the sector. According to the University of Cambridge’s 2026 Global AI in Financial Services Report, 81% of financial services firms surveyed use AI in some form, but just 14% believe their deployments have transformed their strategy or competitive position.

Seismic positions its financial services portfolio as a response to that shortfall. The platform combines AI, data, pre-approved content, engagement signals and governance controls, helping advisors, wholesalers, bankers, relationship managers and agents decide which clients to contact, why the timing is right and what action to take.

Alongside the compliance launch, Seismic has relaunched its former LiveSocial product as Seismic Social, now built directly into the core platform.

The upgraded tool brings together AI-supported content drafting, publishing, compliance and performance tracking, designed to keep financial professionals visible to clients between meetings while giving firms supervisory control.

New features include centralised social publishing, administration and reporting on adoption, engagement and compliance; review workflows backed by role-based permissions and audit trails; LinkedIn publishing, delegated sharing and curated content streams, including third-party material sourced through UpContent; and post drafting via Seismic Aura AI within limits set by each firm.

Seismic said the two products advance its plan to build an AI-driven revenue execution platform tailored to the trust requirements and complexity of financial services, helping firms reach clients faster and with more relevant messaging.

Seismic CEO Rob Tarkoff said, “Financial services customers are core to Seismic, and we’re deepening our investment in an industry where trust is everything. Financial institutions shouldn’t have to choose between growth and control. These new capabilities bring intelligence, engagement and governance together, giving client-facing professionals the trusted context and guidance to act in the moments that matter. That’s how control accelerates growth instead of standing in its way.”

Theta Lake CEO and co-founder Devin Redmond added, “Compliance and governance have to keep pace with the increasing speed of the digital workplace. By bringing Theta Lake’s validated market-leading digital communications and AI interaction governance capabilities directly into Seismic, firms can expand client engagement while keeping those interactions secure, compliant and governed within the Seismic platform.”
