Connect Underwriting, a specialist reinsurance MGA, has unveiled its latest venture, the London-based MGA Stability Risk UW.
This strategic launch of Stability Risk allows Connect Underwriting to establish a distinct business, ensuring it retains its primary concentration on its core areas including property, energy, and political violence.
Connect Underwriting is an acclaimed reinsurance MGA specialising in property, energy, and political violence. Their dedication to their specialisms and keen market insights have positioned them as frontrunners in the reinsurance sector.
Stability Risk, fully regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and backed by Lloyd’s and London-market capacity, is poised to write on contingency, casualty, cyber, and financial lines at a global scale. Their focus on diverse classes of coverage is a testament to their broad market vision.
Further emphasizing the company’s expansion and diversification, this move follows Connect Group’s unveiling of Pixel Re in December. Pixel Re is a monoline reinsurance vehicle targeted towards global property and downstream energy risks, typically dealing with attachments valued at $500m and beyond.
Connect Underwriting’s formation of this subsidiary is part of their broader strategic growth. It signifies their commitment to both widening their offerings and honing their specialisms in the rapidly changing insurance landscape.
Connect Underwriting Group Chief Executive Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer, Jamil Elbahou, commented, “There is huge potential across the markets Stability Risk will write and we will service that need by combining traditional high-quality underwriting with advanced technology to deliver the future of digital distribution in our chosen classes.
“Distribution will be via our existing international partners and the London broking community and we are genuinely excited to bring new business into the London market.”
