New Adyen-Klarna partnership enhances global shopping experience

Adyen, a leading global financial technology platform, has formed an enhanced partnership with Klarna, a pioneering AI-powered global payments network and shopping assistant.

This strategic alliance aims to simplify card payments for Klarna’s extensive base of 150 million consumers and 500,000 retail partners worldwide. Leveraging Adyen’s acquiring capabilities, the partnership is set to enhance the ease of transactions on a global scale.

Adyen, renowned for its end-to-end payments capabilities, data-driven insights, and financial products, serves as the financial technology platform of choice for major companies like Meta, Uber, H&M, eBay, and Microsoft. The company is committed to helping businesses achieve their ambitions quickly through its singular global solution.

Klarna has been a trailblazer since 2005, focusing on consumer-centric commerce acceleration. With over 150 million active users and teo million transactions daily, Klarna offers fair, sustainable, and AI-powered payment and shopping solutions. The company’s innovative technology and marketing solutions have attracted over 500,000 global retailers, including prominent names like H&M, Saks, Sephora, Macy’s, Ikea, Expedia Group, Nike, and Airbnb.

The new phase of this partnership sees Adyen assuming the role of acquiring bank for Klarna’s consumer offerings, starting in Europe, North America, and Asia in 2024. This collaboration will enable Klarna to focus more on providing exceptional shopping experiences, while Adyen will facilitate more seamless payments worldwide.
