Pockit welcomes Garreth Griffith as new chief operating officer

Pockit has recently announced the appointment of Garreth Griffith as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Griffith, an experienced FinTech professional, will be responsible for overseeing Pockit’s daily operations and playing a pivotal role in the company’s next growth phase.

Pockit stands out in the FinTech sector for its commitment to serving those overlooked by traditional banking systems. The company offers innovative financial solutions designed to meet the unique needs of nearly 900,000 customers across the UK.

Garreth Griffith brings to Pockit a rich background in FinTech and payments, with notable experience at leading global firms like Amazon, PayPal, and eBay. His expertise spans various domains, including marketing, risk management, and customer experience. In his new role at Pockit, Griffith will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to enhance Pockit’s service offerings and customer base.

Prior to joining Pockit, Griffith served as COO at Habito, a FinTech mortgage broker and home-buying service. There, he led several key functions, including customer operations and legal, financial, risk, and compliance areas. He also contributes his expertise as a board member of Get Safe Online, focusing on online safety and information security.

This appointment marks a significant period of growth for Pockit. The company is actively expanding its product line, introducing new services like Income Advance and more advanced credit products. This expansion aims to further Pockit’s mission of enhancing financial inclusion for those underserved by traditional banking institutions.
