The firm has welcomed Arun Kumar, Katia Mar, and Steve Rooney, to enhance its standing as a premier provider of artificial intelligence-driven digital identity verification, sanction screening, and fraud prevention.
These strategic appointments symbolise Socure’s commitment to pushing boundaries in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Kumar is set to join the company as its Chief Technology Officer, while Katia Mar will join the ranks as SVP Marketing, and Steve Rooney as its SVP of Global Sales. Their addition signifies a significant stride in Socure’s trajectory, fortifying its dedication to pioneering innovative solutions in the digital realm.
The primary focus of Socure revolves around digital identity verification and trust. Utilizing AI and predictive analytics, the platform harnesses various online and offline data sources, encompassing government-issued documents, email, phone, address, IP, device information, velocity, date of birth, SSN, and broader internet data, to authenticate identities in real-time.
Kumar brings extensive experience from roles at investment platforms such as Luma Financial Technologies and Citadel. His expertise, particularly in scaling machine learning platforms like Amazon’s Sagemaker, is poised to accelerate Socure’s technological advancements in AI-driven identity and fraud solutions.
Mar will benefit from a lifelong career spanning cybersecurity, fraud protection, and identity verification. Her past roles at Onfido, Sift, and Thomson Reuters provide a solid foundation for enhancing Socure’s brand presence and aligning sales and marketing strategies on a global scale.
Rooney, who was previously associated with NICE Actimize, arrives with over two decades of experience in scaling regulatory and fintech sales organisations. His proficiency in fraud, AML, and compliance solutions positions him as a crucial asset in optimising Socure’s go-to-market strategy and expanding its commercial footprint.
