Apex unveils new ESG advisory and reporting unit Holtara

Holtara

Apex Group, a financial services and solutions provider, today announced the launch of its new ESG solutions subsidiary, Holtara.

The company, renowned for its comprehensive financial offerings, is stepping into a new realm with this initiative.

According to ESG Today, the inception of Holtara marks a significant expansion in Apex Group’s ESG capabilities. This strategic move follows the acquisition of MJ Hudson’s Data & Analytics business, which included ESG & Sustainability advisory services and platforms. It also aligns with Apex’s recent enhancement of its ESG solutions, targeting investors, asset managers, and corporates.

Apex Group, founded by Peter Hughes, has established itself as a trailblazer in the financial services sector. With a diverse range of services, including asset management and financial solutions, the group has consistently demonstrated innovation and excellence.

Holtara is set to redefine ESG advisory services. With over 80 specialists, the unit will cover extensive ESG themes, from carbon and climate to DEI and supply chain issues. It aims to assist clients in identifying key ESG themes for their portfolios and managing ESG commitments. Holtara also introduces ESG Advantage, a platform designed to streamline ESG reporting and ensure compliance with global regulations.

Holtara’s leadership under Emma Bickerstaffe, the newly appointed Managing Director and Head of ESG Product, is a testament to its commitment to excellence. Bickerstaffe, with her rich experience in the ESG sector, is poised to steer Holtara towards becoming a pivotal player in ESG advisory and reporting.

The launch of Holtara is a critical step in Apex Group’s ESG journey. By integrating existing ESG offerings with the expertise acquired from MJ Hudson, Apex aims to deliver a robust combination of people-driven and platform-based services.

Peter Hughes, Founder & CEO of Apex Group, commented, “This is an important milestone in our ESG journey as a Group, and through bringing together the existing Apex ESG offering, and the additional expertise brought in through the MJ Hudson acquisition, under one brand – we can deliver a powerful offering driven by a combination of people and platform.”

Emma Bickerstaffe, Managing Director and Head of ESG Product at Holtara, said, “Recent years has seen greater political and shareholder scrutiny of ESG claims, resulting in the urgent need for accurate data, transparent reporting and meaningful sustainability commitments.

“Today we launch Holtara to ensure ESG can stand up to this scrutiny. We recognise the importance of combining platform and people services to not only simplify and streamline ESG reporting, but also to ensure expertise is on hand to help clients focus on the most material topics, verify collected data and prioritise initiatives to improve performance year on year.”
