wefox, a leading player in the InsurTech sector, has announced the appointment of Dominik Ulrich as its Chief Risk Officer (CRO), effective immediately.
Ulrich, who previously held the position of Head of Internal Audit at wefox, steps into his new role with a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the company’s operations, according to a report from InsurTech Insights.

As a key figure in the InsurTech industry, wefox has been at the forefront of transforming traditional insurance models to meet the needs of today’s digital-first consumers.
Dominik Ulrich’s new role as CRO will see him leading the Group Risk Advisory function, which includes the crucial task of establishing a dedicated Assurance function. Additionally, he will manage the Risk Management of the Insurance Carrier within the organisation. Reporting directly to the wefox CEO, Ulrich is expected to play a crucial role in the company’s risk management strategies, ensuring robust governance practices across the board.
Ulrich brings a rich background to his new position, with prior roles that include EMEA Technology and Data Audit Lead and Group Audit IT Competency Lead at Zurich Insurance Group, among others. His career has spanned various high-profile positions, including Senior Audit Manager at Citibank in Singapore and Audit Manager at Citigroup Global Markets in Germany, reflecting a broad and impactful experience in the industry.
