CyNam, UK-based cyber cluster, has entered a new phase of collaboration, powered by a funding boost from UKC3 – UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration.
This financial endorsement comes hot on the heels of CyNam’s recent announcement of a strategic annual partnership with HCR Law, further underscoring its dedication to fostering cluster collaboration across the UK.
The funding provided by UKC3 underscores the pivotal role CyNam plays in promoting cyber collaboration and innovation within the local area. This support is set to empower CyNam in its efforts to extend its pan-cluster collaboration initiatives, thereby enhancing the connectivity of cyber clusters throughout the nation.
At its core, CyNam is dedicated to facilitating the growth of Cheltenham and Gloucestershire’s cyber technology industry. Since its inception as a modest meetup group in 2015, CyNam has evolved into a vibrant community with over 5000 members. Its mission is to provide a dynamic platform that links cybersecurity and tech experts, local SMEs, and innovative startups with essential resources such as knowledge, guidance, funding, and business opportunities.
The new funding will be channelled towards expanding CyNam’s range of collaborative projects, workshops, and events. These initiatives are designed to unite industry experts, academia, and the public sector from across the UK’s cyber and emerging technology hubs, driving ecosystem development, innovation, and cyber skills growth.
CyNam MD Chris Dunning-Walton remarked, “As we announced our partnership with HCR Law earlier this month, we are grateful for the support from UKC3, reinforcing the joint commitment to nurturing cyber and emerging technology collaboration and innovation locally and nationally.
“Together with our partners, we look forward to building further interconnectedness amongst the cyber clusters, amplifying their collective impact in ecosystem development, innovation and cyber skills growth.”
