Scanbot SDK is set to launch a Web Document Scanner Demo of its Barcode Scanner SDK, following the successful rollout of a browser-based demo last year.
This latest offering allows users to test the Document Scanner SDK in any modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
With the Scanbot Web Document Scanner SDK, users can effortlessly create high-quality images of physical documents and convert them into digital input for backend systems. What’s more, no native iOS or Android app is necessary as the SDK seamlessly integrates into any website or web app.
The Web Document Scanner provides users with the flexibility to scan documents using their device camera or import images from storage.
Additionally, users can opt to manually press the shutter button or utilise the automatic capture feature, which instantly scans a document once it’s in focus and aligned correctly. This feature proves particularly handy for scanning multiple pages rapidly with the multi-page feature.
Following a successful scan, the image is automatically cropped, and users can apply various image filters to meet backend requirements. These filters include bespoke options for colour and grayscale documents, binarisation choices, and low-light compensation.
Furthermore, users have the option to save the scanned result in their scan history, stored in the browser cache, or export it as PDF, TIFF, PNG, or JPG files.
For customers in the insurance industry, enabling users to scan and upload documents directly from a web browser presents significant advantages. The automatic capture feature ensures that only high-quality scans are submitted to the backend, resulting in increased automatic processing rates and substantial cost savings.
The Scanbot SDK Web Document Scanner Demo is now available for free trial. Additionally, users can explore the full capabilities of the Web Document Scanner SDK by integrating it into their web applications.
