Mastercard, a global leader in digital payment solutions, and SAP Concur, the forefront provider of integrated travel, expense, and invoice management services, have initiated a groundbreaking partnership aimed at streamlining the expense reporting process for businesses and their employees.
The partnership’s primary goal is to automate and simplify the expense management process. By integrating purchases made with Mastercard corporate cards directly into Concur Expense, the initiative promises real-time data capture and alerts for users to provide additional information if necessary. This seamless integration enables customers to adhere to compliance standards effortlessly while benefiting from an enhanced user experience through automated expense report creation. Moreover, it allows for continued collaboration with preferred banking partners and the use of existing card programmes.
A survey conducted by Mastercard highlighted the increasing complexities within the travel and expense landscape, underscoring the need for innovative solutions. Approximately 90% of travel decision-makers anticipate the future of travel and expense management to merge payment and expense management more closely. SAP Concur addresses this demand by continually evolving its offerings to automate and improve expense management for both small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise clients.
Chris Juneau, head of market strategy at SAP Concur, emphasised the importance of the partnership, stating, “Our work with Mastercard is a significant milestone in our journey to deliver the expense report that practically manages itself. As the industry leader in travel and expense management, we are reimagining the expense experience for our SMB and enterprise customers globally.”
