Payflows secures €25m from Balderton Capital to revolutionise finance team operations

Payflows, a FinTech startup, has recently raised €25m in a Series A funding round. This financial injection is spearheaded by Balderton Capital with substantial contributions from existing investors such as Ribbit Capital, Headline, and 20VC.

Notably, the round also saw participation from family offices associated with the founders of Plaid and Galeries Lafayette.

Founded by Airbnb and Luko alumni, Payflows is transforming the functionality of finance teams by mirroring the simplicity and intuitiveness found in consumer applications. Initially focusing on procurement and treasury sectors, the company has established itself as a pivotal platform in modernising financial operations.

The company plans to utilise the €25m funding to further develop its platform, which integrates various finance workflows into a single, cohesive operating system. This system is designed to bridge the gaps between disparate financial processes and legacy ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, thereby facilitating a more streamlined and efficient operation for mid-sized and growing companies.

Payflows is distinguished by its modular product structure that allows finance teams to manage payments, procurements, and cash flows more effectively. Through real-time visibility and increased collaboration, the platform enhances productivity by integrating automation and AI tools. This allows CFOs to optimise their existing ERP licences while extending functional access across their teams without the need for additional costly software or external consultants.

Payflows CEO Pauline Glikman explained, “We designed Payflows as the missing piece in the CFO toolkit: a single platform for finance teams to sync and orchestrate data across all their Enterprise Resource Planning tools and financial systems, with automation and collaboration at the core. With Payflows, payment, cash management, procurement and cash collection workflows can be modified in seconds—no code required—directly by the finance team, without the need to hire developers or expensive consultants. We give the modern finance team the real-time control they deserve.”
