Camwood and Pentaho team up to enhance data analytics capabilities

Camwood, a leading IT consultancy specialising in digital evolution through the lens of applications, has partnered with Pentaho, a subsidiary of the Japanese multinational conglomerate Hitachi, to bring its data analytics platform to market via a new managed services offering.

The partnership aims to help customers unlock data insights and ensure they derive maximum value from their data assets. Camwood, with nearly 25 years of experience in optimising applications, will offer data assessments, migration to optimised storage, and ongoing management through a master service agreement with Pentaho.

Camwood is known for its expertise in application assessment, modernisation, and management. The company’s services will now extend to data services, leveraging the Pentaho platform to provide structured data catalogues, enabling organisations to know what data they have, who has access to it, where it is located, and why it is kept. This structure allows organisations to spend less time managing data and more time focusing on core operations.

Pentaho, recognised for its comprehensive data analytics solutions, will enable users to leverage data insights without expensive technical expertise and time-consuming processes. Camwood will assist organisations in quickly accessing and retrieving data for compliance and audit purposes, providing a dependable, accurate, and single source of truth.

The partnership will also support organisations looking to tap into emerging technologies, such as AI integrations. Camwood’s managed service will ensure that data is labelled, normalised, and organised for easy parsing, making it AI-ready and capable of providing meaningful insights.

The Pentaho platform, underpinning Camwood’s new service, is data source agnostic and can operate on-premise, in a data centre, a hybrid setup, or a pure cloud environment. This flexibility sets it apart from other products on the market.

Camwood managing director Andrew Carr said, “Our core services since our inception have revolved around the assessment, modernisation and management of applications for our customers, and we’re looking forward to applying that same mindset to our new data services offering. The Pentaho brand needs no introduction. With our services wrapped around the best-in-class Pentaho platform, our customers can unlock insights from their data like never before.”

Pentaho global director of partnerships Yannick Schlaeppi said, “Data analytics platforms have been an industry hot topic for a number of years, but few organisations have made effective use of them. It’s clear that Camwood’s technical staff are well versed in the platform’s capabilities, making the organisation the ideal business partner to build a bespoke service around the Pentaho platform and enable customers to gain full value from their investment. We look forward to working with Camwood to build Pentaho’s presence in the market.”
