Aflac Incorporated, a prominent provider of supplemental health insurance in the U.S., has announced a strategic partnership with Nayya.

This collaboration aims to revolutionise how employees access their supplemental health benefits, particularly focusing on enhancing the claims experience for insured individuals.

Aflac, renowned for its industry-leading group benefits business, will integrate Nayya’s expertise to power supplemental health claims integration for select employers.

With a focus on improving the financial well-being of its insured individuals, Aflac aims to alleviate the financial burden associated with unexpected medical events. Nayya, on the other hand, specialises in providing personalised digital benefits guidance, leveraging advanced technology to streamline benefits access and enhance the overall customer experience.

The partnership is driven by the shared goal of enhancing the claims experience for Aflac’s insured individuals. By integrating Nayya’s claims integration solution, Aflac aims to proactively inform insured individuals about their benefits when they experience an eligible medical event.

Nayya’s technology enables the seamless mapping of medical claims data to supplemental health plans, ensuring that insured individuals have access to the benefits they need when they need them.

According to Bob Ruff, Senior Vice President of Group Voluntary Benefits at Aflac, the partnership with Nayya reflects Aflac’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing the claims experience for its clients. He stated, “Aflac has made the claims experience a priority for our clients for more than 65 years. We have delivered on this promise in many ways, including our wellness campaigns that promote the usage of our plans and creating a digital-first claims experience through MyAflac mobile app and web portal. We remain focused on simplifying the claims process by adding this robust, proactive medical claims integration solution as a natural extension of our long-standing values. We are excited to partner with Nayya on this journey.”

Sina Chehrazi, Chief Executive Officer of Nayya, added, “As a technology provider, we have long admired the integrity of Aflac’s approach to customer service, which is a key component of what makes them one of the leading insurance carriers in the United States and Japan. The Group Benefits industry is in a state of bifurcation: industry leaders are meaningfully investing in claims in a differentiated way. We view it as Nayya’s role to help tell the stories of their commitment to everyday employees — the people who need the most help. Aflac is an example of an industry leader doubling down for leading employers during challenging times that their employees may face.”
