CaixaBank has launched GlobalView, a financial positions aggregator that allows its wealth management clients to consolidate and analyse holdings across multiple financial institutions through a single unified framework.
The service has been developed in collaboration with Flanks, a WealthTech firm regulated as an AISP by the Bank of Spain, which will handle automated connectivity, daily data collection and standardisation across more than 600 connections with financial institutions spanning 33 countries.
Once a client’s positions have been consolidated, they are fed directly into CaixaBank Wealth Management’s GPS platform, which runs on BlackRock’s Aladdin Wealth™ technology, opening up its advanced analytical capabilities to external financial positions.
GlobalView gives relationship managers the ability to present clients with a comprehensive, integrated picture of their overall wealth, with all positions aligned under consistent criteria and refreshed daily. The aggregator breaks down holdings by financial institution, asset type, product family and currency.
For fixed income, clients can view positions by issuer type, geographic distribution, credit rating or maturity, while equity positions can be examined by sector or geography.
To activate the service, clients must provide explicit consent for both the enablement of the service and the transmission of their data. After consent is given, GlobalView establishes connections with the relevant financial institutions automatically, without requiring manual data entry or password management.
The information provided is for informational purposes only and does not alter the scope of the advisory service, meaning CaixaBank relationship managers can only advise on assets held directly with the bank.
The initial rollout will target Global Wealth clients, those holding an independent advisory contract with more than €4m in assets, who can access GlobalView within their existing service fee. The service will subsequently be extended to the broader private banking client base.
CaixaBank Wealth Management head of wealth management Belén Martín said, “This service represents a milestone in Spain’s banking sector, as it allows clients to take ownership of the information held by the financial institutions they work with. In a market where high-net-worth clients tend to diversify their investments across multiple entities, CaixaBank positions itself at the forefront by offering a sophisticated and innovative positions aggregator”.
