Arch Insurance International, a leading provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Ketan Motwani as UK chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately.
Motwani, based in London, will oversee key UK functions in his new role, including underwriting operations, process and operational excellence, and strategic portfolio management.
He will work closely with the wider senior leadership team at Arch to support the company’s overall growth strategy, and will report directly to Hugh Sturgess, chief executive officer for Arch Insurance International.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in insurance operations and transformation leadership to his new role at Arch, Motwani’s career spans tenures at Aon and Deloitte – where he solidified himself as a household name in the industry.
Regarding the appointment, Hugh Sturgess said, “Ketan brings an exceptional breadth of expertise to the role and considerable experience in all aspects of operational and performance enhancement. As Arch looks to build on the substantial market success we have achieved in recent years, he will have a central role in ensuring we maintain a fully optimised operating model across every aspect of our organisation.”
