Guidewire to enhance Columbia Insurance’s operations with cutting-edge tech


Columbia Insurance and Guidewire have partnered, with Columbia selecting Guidewire Insurance Suite as their next-generation platform to serve their customers.

According to Insurance Innovation Reporter, the primary aim of this partnership is to modernize Columbia’s technological infrastructure to meet evolving market demands. This strategic move is expected to enhance operational efficiency and customer service across Columbia’s business spectrum.

Columbia Insurance Group excels in offering robust insurance solutions designed specifically for the unique needs of small and medium businesses. Their services are comprehensive, extending across various states and adapting to the diverse requirements of each locale.

Guidewire is renowned for its advanced insurance software solutions, focusing on innovation, research, and development to support insurance companies in becoming more efficient and competitive.

The collaboration will see Columbia implementing Guidewire’s InsuranceSuite on the Guidewire Cloud. This transition will apply to all business lines in every state where Columbia operates. PwC, a Guidewire PartnerConnect Consulting Global Premier member, will support the implementation, bringing top-tier expertise and assistance to the project.

In addition to adopting the InsuranceSuite, Columbia will integrate various other Guidewire solutions like Guidewire Canvas, Guidewire Compare, and Guidewire Predict into their operations. These tools are designed to infuse actionable insights directly into their policy and claims workflows, further enhancing their service offerings. The company has also chosen SmartCOMM from Smart Communications for improved customer communications management.
