First Connect Insurance Services has announced a new partnership with Root Insurance to offer API-powered quote and bind capabilities to independent insurance agents.
The move aims to streamline the process for independent insurance agents to offer Root’s standard and preferred auto insurance policies to customers.
By integrating Root’s technology, First Connect seeks to make the process quicker and more efficient, reducing the steps agents must take to deliver auto insurance solutions to drivers.
The companies plan to roll out the offering across 25 additional U.S. states by the end of October.

First Connect Insurance Services is a digital platform that connects independent agents to over 100 insurance carriers and managing general agents (MGAs).
The platform supports a wide range of insurance products, including home, auto, cyber, small business, life, and specialty lines. The company’s mission is to provide independent agents with the technology and access they need to compete effectively in the market.
The new product allows agents to input basic customer details, which triggers the system to pull relevant data on drivers and vehicles.
The system then generates policy options based on the minimum requirements of the customer’s state and their previous coverage, streamlining the process significantly. Once logged in to First Connect, agents can navigate the platform without needing to re-enter credentials for multiple carriers.
By simplifying the quote and bind process through an API-powered interface, the product enhances agent productivity and offers a seamless experience across all devices.
