Sitewire secures $3.17m to boost construction finance operations

Sitewire, a pioneering platform in the construction finance sector, has successfully raised $3.17m in seed capital.

The funding initiative was spearheaded by Zacua Ventures, with notable contributions from Argonautic, Great Wave, and Hamilton Ventures.

This financial injection is poised to streamline how lenders and investors manage payments to homebuilders, ensuring that construction projects adhere to their timelines and budgets.

Operating within a construction industry that is currently under significant strain, Sitewire offers a critical solution. The U.S. is facing a deficit of 7.2 million homes, and the construction workforce is expected to need an additional 2 million workers by 2026. In this environment, delays in payments to contractors have emerged as a crucial bottleneck, exacerbating project stalls and escalating risks for investors.

Sitewire addresses these challenges by integrating real-time visuals, cost tracking, AI analysis, and expert evaluations into a unified platform. This innovative approach enables financiers to verify completed work instantly and disburse payments on the same day, thus preventing delays and ensuring continuous builder engagement. The transition away from manual inspections and traditional spreadsheets marks a significant advancement in efficiency for lenders and investors alike.

The company plans to use the $3.17m funding to expand its technological platform, enhance its partner network, and strengthen its presence in key markets for homebuilding.

Bryan Kester, CEO of Sitewire, emphasized the impact of their solutions, “Sitewire has revolutionized the payment process, enabling near-instantaneous transactions compared to days or weeks.

“For the small local businesses constructing most homes³, quick payments are critical. Cash delays can lead to significant disruptions, because subcontractors and laborers prioritize jobs where payments come faster.”
