Fideuram Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking (FISPB), the private banking arm of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has partnered with BlackRock to expand its digital wealth management services across Italy and Europe.
Through the partnership, FISPB seeks to extend its client base across Europe by offering advanced digital wealth solutions, bridging the gap between traditional banking and digital financial services.
FISPB CEO Carlo Messina spoke enthusiastically on the news, stating, “This agreement is a perfect fit with our strategy based on the growth of our Wealth Management business and the development of new digital solutions. This collaboration with BlackRock will enable us to increase our European customer base by offering cutting edge solutions.”
FISPB, as part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, provides wealth management, brokerage, hybrid advisory, and portfolio management services via digital platforms.
The bank is focused on expanding its wealth management reach in Europe, with a growing presence in Belgium and Luxembourg.
The collaboration with BlackRock enables FISPB to draw on BlackRock’s investment and technological expertise, significantly enhancing the bank’s digital wealth offering and creating a more seamless investment experience for clients.
BlackRock, globally recognised as the largest asset management firm, brings its extensive investment knowledge and digital capabilities to this collaboration.
Through this partnership, BlackRock supports FISPB in developing a modern digital wealth solution that empowers clients by providing a comprehensive, accessible, and tailored investment experience.
BlackRock’s Head of International, Rachel Lord, noted, “I am delighted that BlackRock’s global investment expertise and market-leading technology capabilities will enable FISPB to accelerate the next phase of growth for their business. We look forward to helping them deliver for their clients in both existing and new markets and drive positive outcomes for a new generation of investors.”
The collaboration will initially target growth in Italy, Belgium, and Luxembourg, where FISPB’s subsidiary, Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management, operates.
The two companies will work together to deliver a hybrid digital approach, combining high-quality advisory services and digital tools to guide customers in their investment journeys, helping them transition from saving to investing.
Intesa Sanpaolo’s commitment to digital transformation is reflected in its latest offerings under its 2022-2025 business plan.
The group launched Fideuram Direct, a wealth management platform enabling direct market access for investors. Since October 2022, Fideuram Direct has offered Italian customers a unique platform for direct investing, which clients can access independently or with remote guidance from professional bankers.
This reflects Intesa Sanpaolo’s emphasis on innovation, providing simple, transparent, and effective digital wealth management services.
Tommaso Corcos, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo Wealth Management Divisions, remarked, “We are excited about this new collaboration with BlackRock that gives us the opportunity to strengthen our plans in digital wealth management and expand further in Europe, a market with significant room for growth, where we can leverage our expertise, strength, and track record in savings and investment management.”
