SBS, a leading provider of financial technology solutions, has partnered with Red Hat, the world’s top enterprise open-source solutions provider, in a bid to modernise banking operations through scalable, cloud-native architectures.
The partnership is designed to help banks and financial institutions embrace hybrid cloud solutions, enabling them to modernise their software deployment and scaling capabilities while maintaining critical compliance and security measures, according to FF News.
SBS is known for delivering cutting-edge financial technology solutions tailored to meet stringent regulatory requirements in over 80 global markets.
It provides localised technical support and innovative platforms to help financial institutions streamline operations.
Red Hat offers enterprise open-source solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift, the industry’s leading hybrid cloud application platform.
Red Hat OpenShift enables organisations to develop and manage applications across hybrid cloud environments with enhanced flexibility and scalability.
SBS will integrate Red Hat OpenShift into its offerings to empower banks and financial institutions with cloud-agnostic strategies.
This approach ensures clients can adopt hybrid cloud models that combine on-premise and public cloud systems, preserving data integrity and security.
SBS also leverages its expertise and regional presence to ensure that its Red Hat OpenShift support is culturally and linguistically tailored to client needs.
The collaboration builds on the foundation established by SBS’s former parent company and current partner, Sopra Steria, a Red Hat Premier Business Partner in Europe.
SBS CEO Eric Bierry said, “Working with Red Hat underscores our commitment to guiding our clients through their digital transformation journeys, which for many begins with cloud migration. With Red Hat OpenShift, we’re giving our clients the flexibility to leverage a cloud-agnostic strategy with a fully managed application platform. It’s a strategic play for institutions that want to benefit from the cloud while still addressing security and compliance requirements for their critical data.”
Penny Philpot, EMEA ecosystems vice president at Red Hat, added, “We’re pleased to collaborate with SBS, which is deeply engaged with financial services institutions in the region, to help address the application development needs of the financial sector. We look forward to providing financial institutions with a more flexible, scalable path to modernising their infrastructures on Red Hat OpenShift.”
