AI FinTech startup Wyzr secures £400,000 after NatWest Fintech Demo Day

Wyzr, an AI-driven FinTech startup focused on providing financial management solutions for small and micro businesses, has secured £400,000 in funding.

The funding round was successfully completed following Wyzr’s participation in NatWest’s Fintech Demo Day, where the company’s founder, Ajit Barik, pitched to a room of angel investors. The event served as a crucial platform for Wyzr to connect with potential backers and further strengthen its banking relationship with NatWest.

Founded by Ajit Barik, Wyzr offers an AI-powered financial management platform designed to help small businesses better understand their financial health. The platform provides instant calculations, aiding in cash flow management and reducing the complexities often faced by SMEs. Wyzr positions itself as the UK’s first AI CFO solution, addressing the need for jargon-free financial tools.

The newly raised funds will be utilised to enhance Wyzr’s platform capabilities, expand the team, and scale operations to reach a wider audience. The company aims to introduce new features that will further simplify financial management for SMEs and deliver increased value to its users.

Wyzr’s journey with NatWest started through their business banking services and progressed through the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator programme. This initiative, ranked among the top start-up hubs in Europe, provides entrepreneurs with coaching, thought leadership, and networking opportunities, without requiring equity in return. The programme offers co-working space and access to an ecosystem of peers and mentors.

Ajit Barik, founder of Wyzr, said, “Our experience with the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator has been transformative. The support, mentorship, and especially networking opportunities provided by the programme have been invaluable in helping us refine our business strategy and prepare for successful fundraising.

“This funding is a testament to the necessity for smart finance solutions for small businesses and I am excited to take Wyzr past the beta stage as we continue our mission of empowering SMEs with the financial tools they need to thrive.”

Luke Pamflett, regional ecosystem manager at NatWest, said, “Ajit has demonstrated remarkable innovation and dedication in his work with Wyzr and the approach to supporting other small businesses. We are thrilled to have played a part in Wyzr’s journey and look forward to seeing their continued growth and success as the product develops.”
