Tietoevry and UPM announce a renewed strategic partnership, focusing on next-generation application services driven by data and AI.

The agreement, set for an initial five years with an optional one-year extension, aims to bolster UPM’s business continuity while driving innovation and productivity through advanced technological support.

The partnership’s core objective is to ensure UPM’s operational continuity and efficiency through Tietoevry’s specialized IT services. By leveraging AI and automation, the collaboration seeks to enhance productivity and reduce costs, while providing UPM access to cutting-edge technologies.

Tietoevry’s role in this partnership involves providing a variety of services, including application management and development, automation, and AI enhancements. They will also deliver DevOps team support and their TIPS Industry Solutions and Services, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tailored for various UPM business sectors.

UPM’s contributions to the partnership include their pursuit of innovations using AI and automation, which aim to improve service quality and user experiences. Their portfolio features business applications from top technology providers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and SAP, integrated with Tietoevry’s industry-specific MES solutions.

The services will be delivered through a collaborative one-team approach in a multi-party environment, ensuring a seamless integration and operation across UPM’s extensive business areas.
