FinTech firm Questal secures $3.2m to advance AI-powered financial wellness platform

Questal, a financial technology company and the parent of financial wellness provider Questis, has secured $3.2m in a Seed Series funding round.

The funding round was led by a prominent Silicon Valley family office alongside experts in wealth management, retirement planning, and financial services.

Key investors include Ken Thompson, former CEO of TD Private Client Wealth LLC; Adam Harper, former COO of Investments at Citi Wealth; Elizabeth and Michael Bisaro, owners of StraightLine, an independent RIA managing over $1bn in assets; and Robert Rickey, chief growth officer at StraightLine and former managing director of advisor services at TIAA.

Questal’s platform is designed to help individuals take control of their financial well-being by “having a conversation with their money.” The company integrates AI-driven insights with human expertise, featuring AFCPE-certified financial coaches to deliver personalised financial guidance.

With this new capital, Questal plans to accelerate the deployment of its next-generation financial management software. The investment will also support platform enhancements and further development of AI-powered tools aimed at improving financial literacy and engagement.

Ken Thompson said, “Financial services needs to deliver new engagement and better education tools to stay relevant with next generation users. I am very excited to both invest and help strategically in this emerging category leader.”

Robert Rickey added, “An important aspect of StraightLine’s business is serving participants in employer sponsored retirement plans. Questis’s technology combined with their AFCPE certified coaches compliments our planning and investment advisory services.”

Lynn Raynault, CEO and co-founder of Questal, commented, “Personal finances are stressful and hard for most people to manage. Questis is dedicated to transforming personal finance. We help people have a better relationship with money.

“This funding, combined with the expertise of our new board members, will help us empower individuals to take control of their financial futures through meaningful and actionable conversations with their money.”
