Morningstar Sustainalytics has announced the appointment of David Pagliaro as its new Chief Strategy & Product Officer.
According to ESG Today, in his pivotal new role, Pagliaro will be responsible for steering the company’s global product strategy, encompassing development, execution, and go-to-market plans.
Morningstar Sustainalytics is renowned for its comprehensive ESG ratings, data, and research services. The company assists investors by providing detailed insights into environmental, social, and governance factors, helping them make more informed and sustainable investment decisions.
David Pagliaro joins Sustainalytics from Infopro Digital, where he spent over six years as CEO of the financial information business, Risk Global. His extensive background also includes significant roles at State Street as SVP and EMEA Regional Head of Global Exchange, and at S&P Global, where he led various departments including market development, structured finance analytics, and global product development.
Pagliaro’s career is marked by leadership in several high-profile, global roles that have honed his expertise in product strategy and development, particularly in the financial services sector. His experience is expected to significantly benefit Morningstar Sustainalytics as they continue to expand their offerings in sustainable investing.
Pagliaro will report directly to Ron Bundy, CEO of Morningstar Indexes and Morningstar Sustainalytics, and will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the company’s commitment to sustainable investing amidst a complex investment and regulatory landscape.
