FinTech Global unveils DataTech50 spotlighting the data management innovators in finance

DataTech50

FinTech Global, a leading financial research and analytics firm, has published its second annual DataTech50 ranking.

This prestigious list highlights the most prominent and forward-thinking companies driving transformation in data management across the financial services sector. The ranking is designed to equip senior executives with the insights they need to identify standout innovators in an increasingly competitive space.

While the importance of data has long been recognised, many financial institutions continue to grapple with outdated infrastructure and legacy systems that result in siloed data environments. These challenges slow down operations, cause inconsistencies across departments, require repeated data collection, and limit the ability to generate valuable insights. They also hinder progress toward digital transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Although AI tools often dominate innovation discussions, foundational improvements to data architecture are equally critical. According to recent research by Gartner, 60% of organisations will not achieve the expected returns from their AI investments by 2027 due to inadequate data governance practices.

The companies featured on the DataTech50 list were carefully selected by a panel of industry experts and analysts who reviewed a longlist of over 400 businesses compiled by FinTech Global. Finalists were chosen based on their creative and effective use of technology to solve the complex data challenges facing the financial industry today.

FinTech Global director Richard Sachar said, “Instead of having a unified data lake, many firms still have disjointed data networks. Financial institutions have a huge wealth of data that is often not being used to its full potential, they need to find tools that can help them turn that data into a competitive advantage.

“The DataTech50 list is not just about helping financial services find the shiniest tools in the industry, it is designed to help identify the perfect partners who can prepare them for 2025 and beyond.”
