Greater Than, a global leader in road safety and crash prediction analytics, has launched its latest innovation, the AI Coach, an AI-powered coaching solution designed to personalise driver safety feedback using deep behavioural analysis.

The company developed the AI Coach to meet a growing need across the FinTech ecosystem for tools that not only detect risk but prevent it with actionable insights. With driver behaviour a leading factor in road crashes, Greater Than is stepping in to address this through advanced AI intervention.

Founded in Sweden, Greater Than applies AI to driving data to predict crashes, analyse risk, and support sustainability goals. The company works with insurers, fleet managers and platform providers globally.

The new AI Coach is integrated into Greater Than’s Crash Probability Hub and analyses full driving trips using GPS data. It applies AI pattern profiling, refined over two decades, to identify behaviours that increase crash probability and to deliver feedback tailored to individual drivers.

Available as part of mobile applications or integrated into third-party platforms, the AI Coach helps risk managers and drivers understand specific habits contributing to risk or safety. Feedback is delivered contextually—trip-by-trip, daily, weekly or monthly.

Unlike standard telematics, the system goes beyond thresholds and event triggers, detecting patterns that usually go unnoticed and enabling targeted coaching interventions.

Greater Than co-founder and chief technology officer Anders Lindelöf said, “While Greater Than has long led the way in AI-powered crash prediction, the AI Coach marks a transformative next step; we’re now digging much deeper into why a crash may occur and utilizing the extensive capabilities of AI to guide managers in reducing risk or recognizing positive behaviors that contribute to safe driving.”

“With AI Coach, Greater Than goes way beyond predicting crashes,” added Lindelöf. “We’re now helping organizations prevent them with AI-powered, personalized interventions.”
