nettle, an AI-powered risk assessment and report generation platform for commercial insurers, has joined Guidewire’s InsurTech Vanguards programme.

Guidewire, a major property and casualty (P&C) cloud platform provider, created the InsurTech Vanguards initiative to help insurers stay ahead of the curve by identifying and integrating emerging InsurTech solutions, according to FF News.

The programme offers participants strategic support and access to Guidewire’s extensive P&C customer network.

The partnership gives nettle greater visibility and connectivity within the global InsurTech ecosystem. nettle’s AI tooling allows underwriting and risk engineering teams to instantly enrich client data, analyse on-site content via mobile, auto-complete surveys and generate full reports in one click. The platform can process information in any language and format, extracting actionable insights in seconds.

“We’re excited to partner with Guidewire and join the Insurtech Vanguards program. At nettle, our mission is to modernise risk assessment. Already, commercial insurers using nettle’s AI tooling are seeing up to five times gains in productivity. With as many as 40% of risk engineers set to retire within the next 5 years, Guidewire’s P&C ecosystem expands access to nettle precisely when the industry needs it most,” nettle co-founder and CEO Jack Miller said.

“nettle exemplifies the next wave of InsurTech innovation. Their use of AI to eliminate bottlenecks in risk assessment is not only timely – it’s transformational. We’re excited to welcome them to the Insurtech Vanguard program,” Guidewire chief evangelist Laura Drabik said.
