Fable Security, a human risk management platform focused on enterprise cybersecurity, has officially launched with $31m in funding.
The company aims to redefine how organisations tackle risky employee behaviour in the face of increasingly sophisticated AI-powered threats.
The $31m capital injection came from Greylock Partners and Redpoint Ventures. The company was also incubated within Greylock Edge, which previously backed firms like Palo Alto Networks and Abnormal AI. Redpoint’s involvement in the Series A round builds on its experience supporting cybersecurity start-ups such as Cyera and Chainguard.
Fable Security specialises in managing human risk by deploying targeted, real-time interventions directly to employees. These interventions are delivered through platforms like Slack and email, and are designed to reduce risk by influencing behaviour based on context and role-specific access. The core of the platform is the proprietary Human Behavior Index, which synthesises signals from identity, cloud, and endpoint systems to identify risky patterns.
The company will use the new funding to accelerate the development and adoption of its platform, which is already being used by enterprises including Pennymac, Genesys, and the Democratic National Committee. With these organisations, Fable claims to have helped reduce phishing clicks by over 85% and cut PII exposures by 60%.
Fable’s approach represents a significant shift from traditional cybersecurity awareness training, which often relies on generic simulations. The platform offers adaptive, AI-powered content—ranging from video briefings to interactive nudges—timed to intervene precisely when employee behaviour increases risk.
The platform is built by co-founders Nicole Jiang and Dr. Sanny Liao, both former early team members at Abnormal AI. Their previous experience includes helping scale that company to hundreds of millions in ARR and pioneering behavioural-based security models. Their goal with Fable is to provide the same level of rigour and scale to human risk as has traditionally been applied to technical security.
Greylock Partners general partner Saam Motamedi said, “In the AI era, attackers can now target people with unprecedented precision and effectiveness, making the human layer the most vulnerable layer in security. Fable addresses this head-on by reshaping human behavior with real-time, intelligent interventions.”
Redpoint Ventures managing director Erica Brescia added, “Security awareness training has become a checkbox—ineffective, outdated, and blind to how people actually behave. Fable is the first company I’ve seen that throws out the playbook of a failing category. They’re building what modern security teams truly need: visibility into human risk, tools to actually change behavior, and AI that moves at the speed of attackers.”
Fable Security raised its initial seed round from Greylock Partners before closing a Series A round led by Redpoint Ventures. The company’s founding team brings experience from leading firms including Abnormal AI, Palo Alto Networks, Palantir, and Microsoft.
