Bluefin, a global provider of payment and data security solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Cassa Centrale Raiffeisen, a leading banking institution in South Tyrol, ICIT, an independent software vendor (ISV), and Worldline, a global payment services company listed on Euronext [WLN].
The alliance aims to enhance payment and data security for All-In-One (AIO) payment devices across the South Tyrol region in Italy. The move responds to growing demand for secure, modernised payment infrastructure in the region’s thriving tourism, retail, and hospitality sectors.
Bluefin specialises in PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solutions, enabling merchants to protect payment card data through encryption directly at the point of interaction. ICIT delivers tailored software solutions and plays a key integration role as the ISV in the partnership. Worldline is one of Europe’s largest payment providers, offering robust and secure transaction processing solutions. Cassa Centrale Raiffeisen supports a network of Raiffeisen banks across South Tyrol and is known for its corporate banking services and deep regional presence.
By combining the expertise of all four companies, the partnership aims to immediately roll out advanced AIO payment devices in South Tyrol, while also paving the way for future expansion into unattended and e-commerce payment channels.
The deployment is expected to enhance transaction security, streamline processes for merchants, and improve the customer experience across a variety of sectors. With a strong focus on innovation, the partners also see potential for the solution to serve as a blueprint for other regions.
Bluefin senior vice president Europe Cheng Chieh Chen said, “At Bluefin, we are excited to collaborate with leading players and ISVs to deliver validated P2PE solutions across Europe and all global regions. Together with Cassa Centrale Raiffeisen, ICIT and Worldline, we are committed to transforming the payment landscape in South Tyrol by delivering payment innovation, security, and enhanced customer experiences to this vibrant market.”
Cassa Centrale Raiffeisen general director Simon Ladurner said, “As the main provider of banking services for Raiffeisen Banks in South Tyrol and as corporate banking experts, we are constantly trying to find new products and solutions to better meet the needs and requirements of our corporate clients and to optimize their work processes. Thus, we contribute to the economic development of our province.”
Worldline head of SMB central sales management Julia Rachor said, “This ISV partnership, in which Worldline is providing secure and robust payment processing services, will enhance the delivery of an expanded, competitive, and innovative payment offering tailored to the Italian market. Thanks to the partner’s combined international experience and local Italian expertise, merchants are assured to receive payment solutions that effectively meet their needs.”
