Qumis powers legal-grade AI for NFP insurance teams

Qumis, a generative AI platform built by insurance lawyers, has been adopted by NFP to modernise its property and casualty operations.

The partnership helps NFP reduce manual policy review time and improve the accuracy of its claims and coverage analysis.

Following a successful pilot in 2024, NFP officially rolled out Qumis earlier this year. Since then, the tool has been used across both its P&C and claims teams to increase efficiency and focus more time on client service.

NFP head of innovation Mark J. Rieder said, “NFP differentiates itself through our commitment to technology, data, and innovation. Our strategy is built around harnessing data and technology to deliver better client outcomes. Qumis helps our teams move faster, work smarter, and deliver legal-grade analysis with confidence. It’s exactly the kind of technology we want in our tech stack.”

The demand for AI in insurance is growing as teams face rising workloads and increasingly complex policy reviews. Qumis removes the need for manual comparisons and helps brokers scale high-quality insights.

Qumis co-founder and CEO Dan Schuleman said, “We’re proud to support NFP’s innovation strategy and provide the AI infrastructure that brokers need to navigate the growing complexity of policy work at scale. Qumis is modernizing how teams work, while powering intelligence-driven decisions that help insurance professionals work faster, operate more efficiently, and maintain legal-grade precision.”

Founded in 2023, Qumis also recently raised $2.2m in pre-seed funding and continues to grow its client base across brokerages, carriers and law firms.
